I searched all over Charleston and couldn't find it...Sephora in Durham was out. I FINALLY found the Marc Jacobs Cucumber Splash at Nordstrom.It's delightful....light and perfect for this hot and humid weather we're having down here in the SC Lowcountry.
Speaking of the Lowcountry...if you're looking for a good read, pick up one of the many books written by Dorothea Benton Frank over the past several years. The new one is Return to Sullivan's Island. I'm about half-way in and it's good. If you want to set the stage, read Sullivan's Island first...it's one of her older ones, but you surely do NOT have to read it in order to enjoy Return to....
Lorelai is off the the beach this morning. Hank is at work...lots going on there. I have four more days of vacation and plan to enjoy each and every moment between now and next Monday.

ReplyDeleteI have read and re-read every book she has written. She is one of my favorites...along with Sue Monk Kidd. I have just started one of Anne Rivers Siddons's books (love her too). Have a very GREAT last few days of relaxation.

ReplyDeleteSo you read Dorothea Benton Frank's books too! I've read Pawley's Island, Shem Creek and am now reading Isle of Palms, and I bought Sullivan's Island for 50 cents from our used library store. I almost put Isle of Palms down because the subject matter disturbed me but I kept reading it and it is better now. My friend just purchased Return to Sullivan's Island at Costco. I have never been to any of these islands in the book and I really want to go to them on our next vacation in that area.
