There are two ways to pass a hurdle: leaping over or plowing through... There needs to be a monster truck option. - Jeph Jacques
I'm loving this one today. I think that I actually use a monster truck option sometimes. It's just disguised as a "aren't you the nicest sweetest thing in the world and I am SO very sorry to bother you but I need your help more than you can EVER imagine and would be SO very GRATEFUL if you could find your way to assist me in finding a solution for this challenge." Then there IS the "I am a CRAZY woman and it would be in your best interest to fix this problem" approach.

I need to ponder this one
---------------------------------------------------------------
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down. ~ Mary Pickford
I really do try to practice this philosophy. I do best with "fresh starts" on Monday mornings but try really hard everyday. Some days I get it right and some days I not so much. That's just how it goes!

Y'all have a FABULOUS day now, ya hear?

Great quotes and very timely!
ReplyDeleteI personally like the monster truck option as well!
Have a great day!
Good quotes, especially the first one. D and I are thinking of taking a small vacation and stopping in Beaufort, SC. Do you have any recommendations; there seem to be some really cute inns and B&Bs, but I am terrible about judging things online! Any advice would be appreciated!
ReplyDeletethese are great...
ReplyDeletethis one really resonated with me today
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.– Source Unknown
I do like the the third quote by Mary Pickford. Some of these older people come up with the best. I truly hope I have learned to get right back up instead of wallowing in pity and putting everything off until another day.
ReplyDeleteI did not understand the first quote, but it sounds good!!

I always choose the screaming option. It frightens people, even the deaf daughter. Okay, she just stares in disbelief, but it is my favorite means of coping. I guess this approach is sort of monster truckish...at least in my mind.
ReplyDeleteI love the quotes! I'm a huge quote person. I might have to add something similar to my blog.
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog today and love it, I'm excited to be a new follower. I hope if you get a chance you'll check out my blog: lawschoolloveandlife.blogspot.com
That first quote reminds me of the board book "We're Going on a Bear Hunt." Do you know it? One of the lines is, "We can't go over it, we can't go under it, we have to go through it."
ReplyDeleteLove that second quote!
Yes, monster truck option! I could definitely use that option this week. My knees hurt from plowing through lol. Kathy
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes that I needed to read! I'm knee deep in Fall Festival stuff at school, and I have a principals' meeting this morning where we'll find out the results of our state test scores. Can you say stressed? Thanks for the morning inspiration : )
ReplyDeleteMary Pickford. Who knew she has such wisdom to pass along? (don't exactly think of her "speaking") Great quotes!
ReplyDeleteSo apparently I commented on these quotes in Sept. 09, but I still like them. Especially the first one-I may have to go "monster truck" on some issues this week! And I love the Mary Pickford quote. I think I will use it as my featured quote in my staff newsletter next week. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovin' me some quotes today....thank you!
ReplyDeleteLOL...these are some great quotes. Hope your wknd is terrific!
ReplyDeleteThe Mary Pickford quote really inspires me...I am always looking for a fresh start as it is a great motivator for me.
ReplyDeleteI hope your girl feels better soon. I am sure having her mom come and care for her will be good medicine in itself!
My favorite quote:
ReplyDeleteMy life is like a stroll upon the beach,
as near the ocean’s edge as I can go.
- Henry David Thoreau
I love the beach, its my safe haven for ridding all my troubles and woes. To recharge my awareness. To have that special "Me Time" for reminiscing with my inner voice.
