I read a book once (actually, I've read books many times) which talked about "thin places" where we feel the closest to God. I'm pretty sure that He created salt water and pluff mud just for me. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. I hope that you enjoy it too.
Where are your thin places??
Enjoy the photos...
Lunch at TACO BOY...mango margaritas...yummy!
Folly Beach is an eclectic place...you see ALL kinds of people and all kinds of sights...
Looks like a great time was had by all!! HHL
ReplyDeleteSuggestion: I used to keep a photo of the beach taped to the front of my grade/attendance book. Every time I opened it or closed it I saw that pic! It used to make me feel good no matter what the day had held. If I were you, I'd frame these prints and hang them in your office - call it your "Dream" Wall.
ReplyDeleteMy last week was up and down and I think that is the face of this job. I so want to spend more time at each school and that's not to be, so I'll work out something. xoxo
I'm ready to frame these pictures myself. What a great place to take a trip to!

If not a full moon, maybe just a bad moon, as the song says. I feel your pain, last week was nearly intolerable! The Gulf is definitely my "thin place". I need to head there soon, before my head explodes. It looks like you had a wonderful time. And I'll be honest, to live there, I would be happy with a one room shack (well, maybe two rooms - I do NOT do outhouses lol) Hope next week goes more smoothly! Kat
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness...my week was much the same. Very stressed over some issues that has come about!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! And I feel the same way when I go to the beach...God's creation is so awesome...

Oh, these pictures were like my own little beach escape. I still haven't taken the shells down in my house. Lovely pictures. Glad you were able to escape.
ReplyDeleteNever been there but it looks divine! LOVE that bar!!! We call the thin places "livin' thick", when you feel so filled with gods love it feels heavy. I get it with my kids, dog, at the beach, and at church for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat looks WONDERFUL!!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...pluff mud, have not heard of it.
And fried corn? Looks yummy. Was it?
I will buy that house when I win the lottery. it is so lovely!
Oh, as for me...anyplace out in nature where man's hand has not been hard at work! Especially the mountains.
Thanks for the nice comment. We are at higher risk for lawsuits in L&D. I feel that I have maintained my patient's privacy, but at the same time I can see where my employer might not believe I have done it adequately.
Great to be back to your blog.
Wonderful photos of your trip. Gosh, those houses are "to die for"! Those blue doors at The Taco Bar are incredible. And your photo of the fried corn has me craving some.
ReplyDeleteMy thin place...right here in our beach.
Hugs,
Kat
Love those photos! Looks like just what you needed after one of "those" weeks at school!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! And those houses are amazing! I love the beach, too.
