Lorelai is home for spring break and we had a little surprise waiting on her. A room makeover!!
We aren't completely finished...the bed headboard hasn't arrived and we are awaiting a fix to the closet door but you can get the general idea...
She wanted Tiffany blue walls and I made the executive decision to do just two walls in the blue and two in an off white. There are a few accessories yet to gather but you can get the general idea.
This makes three rooms we've gotten organized since the first of the year. My goal was one a week, but it appears that we're doing well to get through one a month. Progress is progress though, so I'm not going to complain.
Oh how lovely! Great choice on painting two walls blue! The mirrored end tables are darling!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes she love it? I think it's lovely, and I love those Tiffany Blue walls. And the bedding and those side tables - ooh la la! Have fun with your baby girl home. Kathy (congrats on 400 posts!)
ReplyDeleteOoooh it's lovely! You did a fabulous job. I'd like to be sent to my room for time outs if it looked like that! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy having your daughter home. My son has opted to stay in NC to golf with his friends and his father. My spring break isn't until the middle of April ~ darn!

How beautiful!!! I know she was thrilled. Love the black with the turquoise walls. I wouldn't complain with one room a month. That is great. Love & blessings from NC!

ReplyDeleteLove those pic up high on the wall and of of course, the wall color - so very Lor!

ReplyDeleteReleasing any flying monkeys??? Let me know if you need help! xoxo
I love it all- the bedside tables are my favorite though!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore it!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous! Love the Tiffany Blue walls!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!! How do you have time for it all??
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!!!!! Where did you get those lamps? I am looking and looking for something similar.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love the room..especially the color and the pictures over the bed.
ReplyDeleteThe piano bar - to die for! I must ask - where did you get the wooden plaque about the monkeys. That is a joke around my house as some of my friends have the "witch ring tone" on their phones for me. I am always joking about MY flying monkeys. In fact, I actually have a stuffed flying money I can launch at people that just sort of, let's say, tick me off!
GREAT JOB!!!
Gorgeous! I love that shade of blue. Was she surprised?! I bet she was.
ReplyDeleteHugs!

Wow- Can you come to my place and decorate?? :)
ReplyDeleteThe new room looks gorgeous...perfect for a college girl!
ReplyDeleteOur progress is slow going also, but as you say, it's progress!
Here's hoping my 17 year old does not read your blog. She has been waiting for her bedroom to be finished since we moved into the house over three months ago. Your progress puts me to shame. I love the color choices, and am especially fond of the flowers. One wouldn't know it from our flower-less decor, but I think every room can benefit from blooms.
ReplyDeleteI hope she loves it, 'cuz I think it's tres chic!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 400th post! The room looks GREAT! What a great surprise to come home to! :)
