Stop what you're doing and go see The King's Speech.
Colin Firth is magnificent...if there isn't an Academy Award nomination in his future then I just don't know who will be more deserving.
This is without a doubt the performance of his career and hands down...the BEST movie I have seen in years.
I wrote almost an identical post earlier this week on my blog. Wasn't it amazing? (And I loved the brief reuniting of Miss Bennett and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice!)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!

Of course it is showing NOWHERE near where I live!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just reading the review for this movie on AOL. It is in the top 50 movies for 2010. They also mentioned that Colin Firth would be a sure winner for the Oscar. I will definately watch the movie now. I LOVE good movies :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this. I am checking times for tomorrow right now! Love Colin Firth. Love British movies. It's been a long time since I've seen a good movie...can't wait!
ReplyDeleteGood news indeed. My husband and I have been watching the trailers and anticipating this movie coming. I'm thrilled to hear it was that good. Any ideas why the "R" rating?
ReplyDeleteI really, really want to see this movie!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will get to NZ in the next few years *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI agree, I agree I agree. Unbelievable movie. It is one of the most outstanding performances I have ever seen. As far as the R, it must be for the language. I checked out the official website and you can listen to the War speech by George VI on You Tube. Remarkable.
ReplyDeleteCouldnt agree more, I have written about it and told everyone I know to see this movie! Certainly a must see!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the King's Speech! It was such a great film!
