In the Land of the Living

I've been down and out. First Roy tried to kill me on Tuesday afternoon at my first trainer session, then I came home and was sick as a dog all night long. Could hardly move yesterday, not sure whether because of the sore muscles courtesy of Roy or the 101 degree temperature I was running. ..I guess it was both. No fever this morning but I am staying home. I wouldn't want to be responsible for this one getting around the office. I'm in a bit of a snit though because I had lots to do this week, plus The Rowdy Girls and husbands are getting together this weekend and I'm the hostess. I do NOT want to cancel.

It's funny how getting sick goes. As an educator, one comes in contact with everything in the world. Even though I'm in an office now, I do get out in schools quite a bit. I'll have a bad year and catch everything that comes along, or so it seems. Then I'll have five or six years where I'm healthy as a horse...then another bad year. Yay for the good years.

I am terribly behind on my blog reading. I'm afraid to open google reader because I know the number of unread blogs is going to be ridiculous. The good news is that I don't have anything else to do today but sit around SO, I'm going to get on that reading right now.

Stay well out there in blogland!!

  3. oh no Miss Belle!

I do hope you feel much better soon. Push those fluids (you gotta give some medical advice if you are a nurse :)

  8. Take care of yourself, and do make sure to get lots of fluids and rest. I had the flu last week and it was NO fun. And if you need someone to take care of Roy, I know a guy... just kidding. Hope you're better soon. Hugs, Kathy

  11. Oh, I'm sorry you have been sick Miss Belle, it can such misery, especially when fun plans loom on the horizon. I'm just crawling back from a week of it and it has been dreadful.

On the other hand, it has proven to be an effective weight loss program.

Hope you enjoy your weekend in better health,
    tp

  12. I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! This time of year is unforgiving in that department.

So you've hired a trainer! I've been toying with the idea myself. Menopause will do that to a person! I've put on 10 pounds in the last year and I truly don't recognize this ol' body anymore and I've had it. Like for you, it's time I get serious. Today was the first day of my "Special K" diet so it's a start. Keep us updated about Roy!
