I'm just FULL of randomness these days...

My mother-in-law is one her way home and I just might sit in this chair ALL day and blog/read/quilt/watch movies. OH...wait...I can move back to my spot on the sofa. I'm not weird.

I've been meaning to recommend the Bliss lemon and sage body butter. I bought some on a whim about a month ago and LOVE it. I'll never be without it if I can help it. The scent is nice, but not overpowering, and it's dreamy when you put it on just out of the bath or shower.

I'm on a quest this week to find some new blogs to read. If you're reading mine and it doesn't appear to you that I'm reading yours, let me know so that I can add you to my Google Reader.

You MUST pick up this book that I discovered in Barnes and Noble last week. The Overnight Socialite, is SO much fun.

LibraryJournal.com said, "Clark's debut novel, Because She Can, did for publishing what The Devil Wears Prada did for fashion. She scores again with this retelling of the Pygmalion story, which features crisp, funny prose and endearing characters. A fun read for fans of well written chick lit."

SO...what kind of wonderfulness have YOU discovered lately that you'd like to share with me???

  4. Before we moved, I so had "my" spot on the couch - call me "Archie" don't care! In the new house, I haven't quite found "my" place yet - we're working on it - but I totally know what you are talking about!

Love body lotions and potions - will have to try that one and the book - one day! I'm cranking up to do my projects around the house - can't wait!

Can't recommend any blogs though -

Oh, are you doing the V-Day swap again this year? That was fun and I'd play!

  5. Oh, I've tried that body butter and it is divine! I think the gals at Sephora know me by name - is that a bad thing?? And I totally understand the "spot" on the sofa, not strange at all. Your day sounds perfect to me. I'm looking forward to things getting back to normal here and at work so that I can enjoy some "down time". I've just purchased "The Help", haven't had a chance to start it yet, but I'll let you know what I think. Have a wonderful week. Kathy

  6. The book sounds good. Now, all I have to do is wait for the library to agree.

I haven't made any discoveries recently, unless you count loving not having the alarm set at 5:30 AM, because of Christmas vacation, as something to share. Chances are, you already are a fan of sleep.

  10. I have that exact body butter but mine is in a tub. It goes on my legs and elbows right before bed, every night.
And my skin is like a baby's bottom! Great recommendation.

  11. The pictures from Christmas and Christmas Eve are wonderful. The boots and the snuggy, best shot!

Yes, you do need to get Ned and your Mother some orange clothing, and Ned NEEDS a Clemson t-shirt. I got a new one from Santa Claus that reads: On the front - can't we just all get along with a tiger and that chicken and on the back NEVER! By far, one of my favorite presents.

I love the picture you found under your tree.

Have a very Happy New Year!

Older Guest (here for an extended stay, in MY chair): I think I'll take a little nap.

Me (heart leaping with excitement because it's the only time we've been apart for a waking hour, and thinking I'll just make a pot of tea and have a quiet hour, and see what's on my TV besides the NEWS): Okay---would you like me to turn down your bed?

Guest: Oh, NO---right here is just fine.

Me: But you'll be so much more comfortable in the guest room.

Guest: No, No---I'm just fine RIGHT HERE---just go right on with what you're doing---you won't bother ME A BIT.
