First...I'm going to do a giveaway soon. I'll post the information on my next day off from work, MLK Day, which is a week from next Monday.
In the meantime for folks who are paying attention, you'll be able to bank an entry or two or three by humoring me every now and then. Stay with me...it will make sense in a few more sentences.
This morning I had to be at one of our more distant schools really early. There are several routes but all involve mega-traffic. As I drove along, I experienced something completely unexpected. I drove for approximately 20 miles down one of the busiest roads in the area and did not have to stop for a traffic light ONE SINGLE TIME until I got ready to turn off of that road onto the interstate. What a blessing! Come to think of it...it might have been a true blue MIRACLE!!
Here's how you can earn one entry into the upcoming giveaway. Leave a comment and tell us all about something amazing that happened to you today!

That is amazing! Today Mr. P went out and cranked my car up for me to warm up. He even made me a thermos of coffee to take with me. I DO NOT DO COLD WELL!! Wasn't that sweet? And Amazing?
ReplyDeleteHope your day is great!
I bet you were driving the speed limit and caught all the signals that were set for people driving the speed limit, just sayin!
ReplyDeleteThe one amazing thing that happened to me today -
I called in sick - I'm not really sick - I'm working on some DIY projecs for my house, which in turn means I'm working on fun stuff for my blog - don't hate or judge!
The only one who might believe I'm sick is the hateful cat - NO one else will believe it! Amazing!
Can't wait to see your giveaway - oh, and I hate cold weather too.
Hello Belle! Well, this might not sound that amazing, but for three days now I have stuck to my VERY strict new diet and gotten to the gym AND I feel great! Usually by this time in a health kick, I am crabby and tired! I feel really blessed to be able to work towards my goals!
ReplyDeleteI was allowed to wear jeans to teach at school today because it is Spirit Week...on the 2nd day back from break, that was a much needed blessing!
ReplyDeleteWell, Belle...I haven't had an amazing day, but it has been productive. I'm in a very challenging job and some days I barely keep my head above water. But, today, I had a very successful meeting with my Board of Directors and identified some new opportunities for us that I think will be great. All in all, a successful, albeit stressful, day! :)
ReplyDeleteWell I haven't had anything truly amazing happen although I was so pleased at how the cake I'd ordered for my sister's 50th Birthday dinner celebration tonight turn out. So cute and looks just like her! And the puppy's growth on his leg has turned out to be just a hair folicle gone awry. Yay
ReplyDeleteIt's a good day!
Belle!
ReplyDeleteAmazing for the day? Seeing the most snow I have ever seen in my 23 years on this earth. It's gorgeous!
MiMi
Good for you! That is amazing!! I'm not sure I had anything amazing happen to me today, but the sun was shining brightly and it even felt a little warmer, as opposed to the 20 degree temps we have had! xoxo
ReplyDeletehmmmm, today it is a stretch. BUT, considering the last several days, I actually felt warm in this dog gone cold spell, climate changing mess going on. NOW, what will be really amazing? Is if the front that is suppose to bring snow to within 30 miles north of us, inches its way down, TO us. Yes, that is my hope, so I can truly do the "amazing" dance...in the snow...forgeting that it is colder than a witches . . .
ReplyDeleteSmiles!!!
Something amazing did take place today...I got a haircut and actually like it! Now that's amazing!
ReplyDeleteMine is sad and amazing at the same time...
ReplyDeleteI had a family in my school whose house burned down last night and they lost everything. The staff and I are just heartbroken for them, so we took up a collection at school today from the staff, with the intent of getting them a Wal-Mart card with it.
Now I have a pretty small school, so I don't have a large staff. I was expecting to get around $200 or $300 dollars. Well, when it was all said and done, I had $700! We were able to put $500 in an account for them to cover a security deposit for a new place, setting up utilities, furniture, etc. and give them a $200 gift card too. I was so proud of my amazing and generous staff!
I managed to look okay for my work impromptu movie shoot! Thank heaven it wasn't a day I didn't shower! :)
ReplyDeleteI had a pretty good day, I teach religion to 8th grade students, class is 90 minutes long and it can be pretty stressful trying to keep them on task. Today they were engaged in class and about 70% of them handed in their written reports. All in all a great way to end the day.
ReplyDeleteThe pretty amazing thing that happened today was that my cousin's daughter and her husband found out that the they are going to be adopting a new little girl. They are in Florida right now picking her up. Isn't that exciting? I love baby stories! Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeletelovin your blog! so adorable. youve got a new follower lady!
ReplyDeleteThe truly amazing things happen late at night in our bedroom. I don't want to make anyone jealous, so I just tell everyone that I retire at 9:30 PM, wearing sweats, and a hoodie, and not a VS ensemble. While my husband attempts to unwind from his long days, I am not really reading novels. No, no, it is all an act. We are really swinging from the ceiling fan.
ReplyDeleteThis whole giveaway thing sounds very intriguing! Did I spell that right? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I am amazed at your amazing miracle this morning...we live in the same area, so I completely understand about the traffic!
I went to Walgreen's/CVS tonight and bought about $100 worth of products and paid under $20 out of pocket, thanks to coupons, register rewards, ECB's, etc! Got to love great deals!
Happy Friday to you tomorrow. Oh, by the way, could you say a little prayer for me? I am having my gallbladder out tomorrow, and although it's a rather common procedure, it's under general anesthesia and I will be intubated. Scares me. :( Thanks!
Amy in SC
I didn't wreck my car or get hit while driving on the well-packed snow in our neighborhood. It is slippery!
ReplyDeleteYay for you and the smooooth drive!
My miracle today happened in the early AM hours. I spent most of yesterday at the hospital with my mom. When I got home, both kids were sleeping. Lulu woke up. I went in to see her, and she said, "I sleep in your bed." This never happens, but after my day, I let her. Throughout the night, she rubbed my face. Just like my mom did when I was little. I am so grateful to have a daughter. My mom is fine and she'll be fine, but it was so nice to have a tender moment with my little one.
ReplyDeletePretty deep, huh? It was the first thing that came to mind, so I went with it.
What? Didn't hit even one light?
ReplyDeleteIt's a miracle, or maybe you were temporarily color blind and actually ran many a light. (did you hear much honking? :)
