A Most UN-Belle-like Obsession

This probably won't make much sense to you because it CERTAINLY is not making sense to me or Hank. I have a new television show obsession, Madhouse, set in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Honestly, it isn't because of the car racing. I do NOT get car racing!! It has something to do with the personalities of and relationships between the people. They eat, sleep, and breathe racing. they're praying one minute and beating each other up the next. Some of the rivalries go back generations and I SURE don't know how in the world their wives put up with them.

One acquaintance of mine suggested that I might like the show because I knew people just like these fellows from back in the day in Hometown. There wasn't a racetrack in Hometown but there WERE some characters...that is for true.

So, have any of you, dear readers, seen Madhouse??

  1. Have not seen it, but when and where is it on. I bet I could recognize some of the "characters", too. If it doesn't conflict with my obsession with Don Draper or Jethro Gibbs, I'll check it out! haha xoxo

P.S. Probably not gonna do the Betty Draper post. One certain person reads my blog and what family drama that might cause. I forgot about that . . . ugh.

  2. Wow - I didn't realize I'd missed so much lately!!

No, don't watch that show - have to watch UFC with Meghan - bad enough though!

Sorry about the "moms" - hope Ned is feeling better and was able to make it to the circus.

Congrats to Lor for making the Dean's list at Notre, no I mean Clemson - see I was paying attention! ;-0

And, congrats to you on your promo!!

And, I got my gift card - can't wait to spend it!

    You're the best Belle ever!

  3. Me thinks thou dost protest too much... I think you are a closet NASCAR fan.

  4. oh yes my fiancee makes me record it on my dvr. it is kind of entertaining (dont tell him that!)

  5. Isn't it funny the things that draw us in a get us hooked!! PS - Winston-Salem is right down the road from me.

  6. I have not seen or even heard of it. But I am sure that I will be on the lookout for it now! :)

  7. Oh my husband got me hooked on this show! I love that one of the drivers owns a little cafe. I am not a racing fan, but I am a fan of eccentric, Southern characters (maybe because my family is full of them!).

  8. I have never heard of this show before.

  9. i don't know it, but I need something new. Thanks for the lead!

  10. I am shocked right now? You and car racing? That is too funny.

But I can get how this is probably fascinating. I will have to check it out, I love these kinds of shows.

  11. Honey, you're the second person to talk about this show in the last two days (yes, I'm WAY behind on reading blogs!) I just fixed the DVR up to record the next episode.

I ought not to admit this, but my aunt is a *spotter*(whatever that means) at Bowman Gray -- may have to ask for a behind the scenes tour this summer!

Please makes me HAPPY!
